MD-EIFS Adhesively Applied over Liquid Membrane – EDI Exterior Design Institute

This video will present the application of the Total Wall Adhesively Fastened MD-EIFS system with Liquid Applied Membrane.

1. Tyvek, NWCB, NCMA’s MSV manual and most One Coat Stucco manufacturer’s call for the weep casing or weep screed to lap the top of the foundation by 1-inch minimum.
2. The specified lap that several MD-EIFS manufacturers call for the starter tracks to lap the top of the foundation wall vary from ½-inch to 1-inch minimum. These systems are proprietary; thus, the manufacturer can specify their desired lap of the top of the foundation wall.
3. The EDI Standard is for the weep screed, weep casing or starter track to lap the top of the foundation by 1-inch.
4. Question: What type of system do you have if you omit the drainage plan and method?

Answer: A Barrier Polymer Based – Barrier EIF System or PB-EIFS.
