This section will cover the history of EIFS, provide a list of Manufacturer’s and website links, and begins the series of videos ” This Old EIFS House” Segment 1.
***Several lessons reference testing agency document numbers and standards which may be updated from time to time by the agency. For current document numbers go to the applicable agency website (eg. www.astm.org) and look up current document. Also, model code agencies have merged forming ICC, which includes SBCCI, ICBO and BOCA. However, these codes were in force for older EIFS applications, and compliance with applicable code is based on the code in force at the time of installation of the EIFS, so most of the older references will remain in this training course.
