A) A ULP-302 plate incorrectly used in expanded polystyrene (EPS). The ULP-302 plate is used in polymer modified (PM) systems and generally used to attach extruded type insulation boards such as shown in “G”.
B) A 2″ Wind-devil 2 fastener correctly utilized and installed in expanded polystyrene (EPS). The Wind-devil 2 is used in polymer based (PB) EIFS systems and moisture drainage type systems such as the Senergy Senturion systems.
C) An Ocean Spray bottle cap not approved for use in any EIFS system, however has been spotted in the past on job sites on the east and west. Notice there is nothing to key the basecoat into and the insulation has been crushed.
D) An original 1-3/4″ Wind-devil fastener utilized and correctly installed in expanded polystyrene (EPS). The Wind-devil is used in polymer based (PB) EIFS systems.
E) A galvanized metal Lath Lock plate incorrectly utilized in expanded polystyrene (EPS). The Lath Lock plate is used in polymer modified (PM) systems and stucco systems and is generally used to attach extruded type insulation boards such as shown in “G”.
F) Fasteners on insulation board joints is incorrect!
G) A ULP-302 correctly utilized and installed into extruded insulation.
